Job Description

To deliver high-quality, compliant, and practical engineering solutions across infrastructure projects in alignment with company standards, client requirements, and relevant codes. Engineers operate within discipline streams but under a unified capability framework that supports career growth from graduate to lead level.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Technical Delivery: Lead the development, review, and sign-off of complex engineering designs, specifications, and documentation. Provide technical assurance, resolve significant design issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory and client standards.
  2. Project Contribution: Oversee the planning and execution of major engineering tasks or multi-disciplinary work packages. Monitor scope, budget, and schedule performance, and drive timely delivery of technical outcomes.
  3. Risk & Compliance: Champion risk identification and mitigation throughout the design process. Ensure discipline compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, and contribute to internal audits, peer reviews, and lessons learned processes.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and delivery partners. Influence technical decision-making through clear communication, professional credibility, and proactive issue resolution.
  5. Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and coaching to engineers and graduates. Contribute to team capability by sharing expertise, supporting development plans, and upholding professional standards.
  6. Process Improvement and Innovation: Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in engineering tools, systems, or digital workflows. Drive adoption of best practices and innovation within the team.
  7. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate across engineering disciplines, construction, and drafting teams to resolve complex interface challenges and deliver integrated, constructible design outcomes.
  8. Quality Assurance: Lead ‘right first-time’ quality inputs within your discipline by developing and refining ITPs and checklists for implementation across assigned work packages. Liaise with site teams and QA personnel to resolve non-conformances and provide guidance to junior engineers to embed right-first time with zero re-work quality practices. Ensure engineering deliverables meet design, client, and regulatory requirements through proactive quality planning.
